Job Description
Job Responsibilities: Seeking an experienced individual who is responsible for managing all aspects of tenant billing and collections for a portfolio of commercial properties. This role works closely with property management and accounting to ensure accurate invoicing, timely rent collection, CAM reconciliations, and clear communication with tenants. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, small-company environment. AR Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Generate and distribute monthly rent and additional rent invoices • Ensure lease terms are accurately reflected in billing (rent escalations, percentage rent, etc.). • Process adjustments, credits, and chargebacks as needed. • Maintain accurate tenant ledgers and records. • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts. • Communicate professionally with tenants regarding outstanding balances. • Coordinate payment plans or escalate delinquent accounts as directed. • Post daily receipts (checks, ACH, wire transfers) accurately and timely. • Prepare weekly and monthly A/R aging reports for management. • Support CAM reconciliations. • Research and resolve discrepancies • Work closely with property managers to address tenant billing questions. • Assist with audit requests and financial documentation as needed. Skills: • Understanding of commercial leases and CAM billing preferred. • Proficiency in Yardi is preferred. • Strong Excel skills and general Microsoft Office proficiency. • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Strong organizational skills
